Stratolaunch Supports Reestablishment of U.S. House of Representatives Hypersonics Caucus

Stratolaunch welcomes the announcement that the U.S. House of Representatives has relaunched its Hypersonics Caucus for the 118th Congress. The committee, co-Chaired by Representatives Doug Lamborn (R-CO), Jim Banks (R-IN) and Salud Carbajal (D-CA), will work to rally congressional action supporting the utilization of hypersonic national security solutions.

“Since we launched the first ever House Hypersonics Caucus in March of 2021, our hypersonic capabilities have become even more critical to America’s national security,” said Rep. Jim Banks in his announcement. “I am proud of the leading role that Indiana continues to play in the research and testing of hypersonic systems and hypersonic innovation.”

Testament to this statement, Stratolaunch supports a whole of Indiana and Midwest Region approach to hypersonics excellence, where the company recently announced collaborative partnership with Purdue University and establishment of an Advanced Programs office in West Lafayette, IN devoted to accelerating our nation’s hypersonic research and technology development capabilities. Additional collaborative plans encompass partnership with Navy Surface Warfare Center Crane Division and Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The company looks forward to embracing other local hypersonic partners in the area such as the U.S. Air Force Arnold Engineering Development Complex in Tullahoma, Tennessee, and the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

As a Mojave, California-based company with partners extending across 11 additional states, Stratolaunch believes hypersonics is a national imperative and the company is glad to see our country’s leaders agree on this priority.

Stratolaunch is excited and energized by the reestablishment of the House of Representatives Hypersonics Caucus. Congressional support and investment in hypersonic development and test programs are key to ensuring the Department of Defense has the resources needed to enable hypersonic leap-ahead technologies. We look forward to working with Chairmen Lamborn, Banks, Carbajal and the other Caucus members to promote acceleration of our nation’s hypersonic technology development.
